We are a volunteer-run community library in Friern Barnet. We have over 13,000 books available to borrow, and we host regular events. Come in and say hi!

Regular Creative Writing workshop with author and novelist Sandra Turner.
Fortnightly, Saturdays 12pm-1:30pm

Free arts and crafts workshops for kids aged 5-11, run by our volunteers!
3-4pm, Monday-Friday in the school holidays (depending on volunteer availability)

Metropolitan Police Surgery held at the library. Meet with police to discuss local problems and neighbourhood safety.

MP Surgery with Catherine West, MP for Hornsey and Friern Barnet held every 3 months at the library.

Summer Reading Challenge
The summer reading challenge will be running again in Summer 2026.
Events for children to promote reading will be running every weekday during the summer holidays from 3-4pm.
All children aged 5-11 welcome to come along and get involved! Everyone will receive a certificate for taking part.
